Now let me ask you a question about your news that you read. Does every journalist eyewitness exactly what they are reporting on? No! How do they find out what happened? They ask people what happened. If there was a car accident or other terrible disaster and asked 5 different witnesses what happened, you would get 5 different stories, and each witness would probably emphasize a different aspect of the event. That is normal, that is humans for you, we don't always see things in exactly the same way. But here's the thing, there would be a minimum set of facts which you can get from their stories to begin to produce something of an account of the events.

I consider myself a christian, but a liberal one and I tolerate other faiths. I don't discriminate against people or preach to them or tell them how to live their lives. Do any christian girls consider themselves ok with this type of guy? L'Innocence by William Bouguereau?

Ok, I'm completely lost here.
There seem to be TWO paintings by William Bouguereau called "L'Innocence" (aka "Youth")

This work is in a private collection, but as you will have discovered there is no info. at all about the girl with angels painting except that the two works seem have been painted in the same year. It is quite possible that the two paintings were given the same name (not by the artist, who may not have named them), Have you tried consulting some books on the painter: e.g. The Studios of Paris: William Bouguereau and His American Students?. It is conceivable that the second and in my opinion more inferior work with the angels was produced in conjunction or by his studio staff.

I've been a Christian for a lot of years, and it's going to take more than a song or a bunch of questions to change my mind.

As far as why a "good" person would worry about going to hell, that's not quite how it works. You can live a moral life and do good works, but if you haven't accepted Christ's atoning sacrifice on the Cross, it's all pointless. One sin or a million -- you've still missed the mark and have forfeited your right to Heaven. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him.

Rewards after death were God's idea, not man's. We don't deserve anything from Him, but in His mercy and goodness, He has promised us an eternity of peace and joy in His Presence. The only good we do is through Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, so we can't even claim that we're "owed" anything by God.

And finally, I'm not happy that Jesus was almost beaten to death by the Romans, crowned with thorns and mocked, and then put to death in the most hideous way imaginable. In fact, that makes me cry and hate my sins every time I look at a Crucifix and see what they cost Him.

What I *am* happy about is that He rose from the dead and that He is now my Lord and Savior. And believe me, that is enough joy to keep a smile on anyone's face who understands Who Christ is and what He did for us.

The recent discovery of the stone boxes that are supposed have contained the bones of Jesus and his family are being treated like the nulifying flaw in a contract.

Yes, people don't want to think there is a Perfect God. who will hold them responsible for their actions. If you notice in the news lately, everybody blames everyone else for their behavior.

As for the stone boxes they have found, in Jesus' time, his name was a common one. So whatever they found does not mean it is The Christ.
