Bejeweled Cowboys WR Bryant sued for $850,000-plus
DALLAS (AP) — In the 18 months before Dez Bryant signed with the Dallas Cowboys, he apparently spent like a superstar. He bought at least seven men's watches and two more for women. He paid $65,500 for a diamond cross made of white gold and $60,000 for a custom charm.

What's the name of the song?
In Meatloaf Aday's autobiographical movie, Meat sings a song in an audition for Jim Steinman about how Mary laid her baby Jesus to sleep and I was wondering if that was an actual song and if it is what's it called and if it can be downloaded from places like Limewire?
Jim Steinman - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaAfter hearing him sing a song from his album Stoney & Meatloaf called "(I'd Love To Be) As Heavy As Jesus" (Steinman commented that Meatloaf looked as heavy ...

A Question about the Chocolate Jesus Controversy?
If the Dutch News Paper can print pictures of Mohammad and say it it has every right because of Freedom of Speech, then why can't the artist display his artwork, in a form of free speech?
Another hyprocrisy of the conservative right wing?
It's certainly a hypocricy. It's not the only time this sort of thing has happened either. In Sulawesi, Indonesia, Christians chopped off peoples heads over a newspaper editorial that implied that the church-supported candidate was corrupt, in the Phillipines they looted bookstores and burnt copies of the DaVinci Code, in Egypt thousands of Coptics rioted and turned over cars, in Belfast they set the city on fire on Orange Day last year, and in Russia, Orthodox priests beat people bloody at a gay pride parade.
It is sad to see people making death threats and threatening to burn down the gallery and such because of a chocolate Jesus. Especially since I think the point is rather a good one. We buy and sell millions of chocolate bunnies for Easter, but why is the focus on rabbits?
It's really a pretty interesting sculpture though. Quite interesting. He is a very talented artist.

What did Jesus and his disciples do for entertainment?
I know there's nothing about it in the bible, but they had to have been bored sometimes. Did people tell jokes back then or sing and dance? Did they play games?
'For ****s sake, Judas, we're not doing charades again! How the hell were we supposed to know it was "The Iliad"? Jumping up and down in front of a wall, clutching your heel, then pretending to be a horse?"
"And as for you, Peter, that's the lamest attempt I've ever seen of an impression of Moses parting the Red Sea!"

question about dating christian girls?
I consider myself a christian, but a liberal one and I tolerate other faiths. I don't discriminate against people or preach to them or tell them how to live their lives. Do any christian girls consider themselves ok with this type of guy? I'm really nice and considerate of christian girls, but I do look at porn/masturbate since I'm not in a relationship nor can have sex. I'm also tolerant of gay people, play violent video games, curse, and watch adult swim. But, I still consider myself a good, moral person who believes in God and Jesus. Is this not enough for christian girls, or am I still "unevenly yoked"? do christian girls look down on you if you don't like to "witness" to people and don't read the bible/goto church all the time?
p.s. please do not talk down - I'm nice and I don't cheat on girls or lie or do any of that, so don't paint me like a terrible person. Also, no admonishment or whatever word you call it, because no one has the right to judge me without knowledge.
(i'm a girl christian) & i would have a hard time dating a guy who wasnt like you
i dont discriminate, and i dont go to church every single week
all those extremely conservative christians drive me crazy, and they probably wouldn't date you, just like how i wouldnt date them, but you also probably wouldn't have the best relationship dating someone who doesn't agree with a lot of your personal beliefs
you just need to find a cool christian girl without those crazy demeaning morals

Lyrics: I believe first line goes: What a precious name is Jesus. Reaching higher far, than the brightest star?
My mom and I use to attend church together when I was younger and she was still alive. One of her favorite songs I believe was called: "What A Precious Name Is Jesus". It started out: What a precious name is Jesus. Reaching higher far, than the brightest star. This is all I can remember of it. People have said maybe it was, What A friend We Have In Jesus, or other names but I don't believe it was any of them. I wish I still had mom's old gospel song book.
I'm sorry other people were rude to you when all you were trying to do was recollect a precious memory with your mother who has passed on.
I think the song you are looking for is "What a Lovely Name" - I have attached a link which has the lyrics as well as permits you to listen to the song performed by The Greesons.
Peace, Bill
What a lovely name the name of Jesus,
Reaching higher far, than the brightest star;
Sweeter than the songs they sing in Heaven,
Let the world proclaim what a lovely name.

I need help with our family Christmas party. We want to have all the kids entertain the adults so how...?
We are having a family Christmas party and need some ideas for the kids to put on a show for the adults. What should we do.?
We have about 35 kids. We are going to have them sing about 5 christmas songs and then the younger kids are going to do a play where they will each have a letter of the alphabet and they will say things like "A is for angels at christmas time, B is for Baby Jesus and so on. Now we have the older kids, about 9 of them all between the ages of 13 and 19. What should we have them do as entertainment for the adults? We thought about having them read poems about family and Christmas. Are there any good sites where I can find some poems about family and Xmas? We do not have the funds to get them costumes and not enough time to put together a play. Any other ideas Any help would be much appreciated.
well,13-19 yr olds are difficult because they are all about what looks cool,so you may have several of them who are not going to be too happy about doing this for you guys, and you know kids when they are miserable they will make everyone around them miserable..i suggest maybe a game for them that the adults can sit back and watch and or maybe even join in on..you know like Christmas pictionary or charades.. divide them in to 2 teams,,give them words, movie themes, christmas present items ext. written on pieces of paper that are folded up and put in to a hat,,let each team take turns pulling them out one at a time, each kid has a turn to get up doing one while the rest on their team tries to guess what they are trying to say,and so on and so forth...i know you said not enough money for costumes,,but you could find a nice dollar store and buy 4-5 inexpensive gifts, wrap them up,,the winning team members gets the gifts...watching kids do stuff like that is always fun and entertaining..and who knows the adults may even want to join in..have a blast,,and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

L'Innocence by William Bouguereau?
Ok, I'm completely lost here.
There seem to be TWO paintings by William Bouguereau called "L'Innocence" (aka "Youth")
Here is a link to one:
http://imagecache2.allposters.com/images/pic/MCG/FB577~L-Innocence-Posters.jpg
And here is a link to the other:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/1b/Bouguereau-Linnocence.jpg
One is a girl with angels, and another is Mary holding Jesus...but every art site I look at has one or the other, not both. I also have found no articles or biographies mentioning this strange phenomenon!
Which is the REAL L'Innocence?
The painting of Mary with Lamb and Jesus - is famous. It appears far more than the second painting with angels. This work is in a private collection, but as you will have discovered there is no info. at all about the girl with angels painting except that the two works seem have been painted in the same year. It is quite possible that the two paintings were given the same name (not by the artist, who may not have named them), Have you tried consulting some books on the painter: e.g. The Studios of Paris: William Bouguereau and His American Students?. It is conceivable that the second and in my opinion more inferior work with the angels was produced in conjunction or by his studio staff.

I am afraid that this is the best that I can do.

Are people trying to find fault in the Bible as if it were a contract that can be voided?
The recent discovery of the stone boxes that are supposed have contained the bones of Jesus and his family are being treated like the nulifying flaw in a contract.
Yes, people don't want to think there is a Perfect God. who will hold them responsible for their actions. If you notice in the news lately, everybody blames everyone else for their behavior.
As for the stone boxes they have found, in Jesus' time, his name was a common one. So whatever they found does not mean it is The Christ.

How old was the apostle Peter when Jesus called him to be an apostle?
It's for a research paper, thanks.
I can find no mention of his date of birth or even estimated age in any writings. Certainly, the Bible doesn't record either.
The date of his death is popularly believed to be 64 AD.

Looking for a painting/print of baby Jesus?
But Joseph is holding Jesus and Mary is sleeping...it is called something "one father's hands to another" or something to do with two father's hands...
In The Hands Of The Father - This is a beautiful religious wall painting of Joseph holding his newborn son Jesus. The love is very visual that radiates between them on the day of His birth.
